Common questions
Do I have to pay a monthly monitoring fee?
No. Most of our systems are self-monitored — alerts come straight to your phone, free. If you want professional monitoring (which can qualify you for insurance discounts), we'll help you pick a plan, but it's your call, not a requirement.
Can you work with cameras or a doorbell I already bought?
Usually, yes. If the gear is decent we'll install it properly and fold it into your system. If it's going to frustrate you, we'll say so honestly before you spend anything on installation.
How long does installation take?
Most starter systems are done in a single visit. Larger camera systems or whole-home projects may take a day or two — we'll tell you exactly what to expect in the quote.
Will it work when the internet goes out?
Cameras with local recording keep recording; alerts need internet to reach your phone. We'll design your system so an outage degrades it gracefully instead of shutting it off — and if reliability is a worry, our Wi-Fi & networking service fixes the root cause.
