Questions everybody asks (good ones)
How much does a smart home system cost?
Every home is different, so every quote is custom — but to anchor it: a starter security setup (video doorbell plus 2–3 cameras, professionally installed) starts around $1,000. Audio, theater, and lighting projects are sized to your rooms and budget. You'll always have the full price in writing before work begins.
Is the consultation really free?
Genuinely free, genuinely no-obligation. We walk your home with you, listen, and follow up with a written quote. If the answer is "not right now," that's a fine answer.
Do you charge monthly fees?
No. Most systems we install are self-monitored — alerts go straight to your phone, free. If you want optional professional monitoring (which can earn a homeowners insurance discount), we'll help you set it up, but it's never required.
Can you use gear I already bought?
Usually yes — plenty of jobs start with "I bought this doorbell and never installed it." If your gear is good, we'll use it. If it's going to frustrate you, we'll tell you before you spend a dime on installation.
How long does an install take?
Starter systems: usually one visit. Multi-room audio or theaters: one to two days. Whole-home projects: we'll give you a schedule with the quote. We show up when we say we will — we're the ones answering the phone if we don't.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — licensed and insured, and happy to say so in writing. You're letting us into your home; you should expect nothing less.
Will you teach us how to use everything?
We don't leave until everyone in the house — kids and grandparents included — can run the system. And if you forget something next month, call us. You'll get the person who installed it.
