There's an old saying we've built this business on: if you're doing something you love, you'll never work a day in your life. We genuinely love this stuff — the kind of people who automate their own house just to see what's possible, then can't wait to show the neighbors.

A&B started in 2017 with a simple observation: smart home technology was being sold like a luxury — big contracts, big minimums, showrooms in the fancy zip codes. Meanwhile the actual technology had gotten affordable. The only expensive part was the companies installing it.

So that's the business we built. No sales team, no showroom, no big-contract minimums. Just the two of us, designing systems around what your family needs and what your budget allows — and installing them like it's our own house. If gear you already own is good enough, we'll tell you. If the cheaper option is the right option, that's the one we'll recommend.

Nine years and a 5.0-star Google rating later, most of our work comes from neighbors telling neighbors. We think that's exactly how a family business should grow.
